1. Don’t Be a One-Man Show

Encourage your staff to work as a team and handle the patients with care. Taking on everything on your own is not good for your health neither will you be able to treat them properly. A helping hand is always welcomed. Hire nurse, receptionist, assistant to help you carry out the tasks in your clinic.

2. Don’t Overlook the Most Obvious Allergy

Allergies can be dangerous, and they shouldn’t be overlooked. If the allergy is needed to be identified, then required allergy tests are required but if the symptoms clearly indicate a certain allergy then treat it accordingly. Ask them about the history of what they ate and confirm your hypothesis. In this case, you don’t need tests, but you need to treat the symptoms.

3. Don’t Interrupt Patients

Interrupting can come off as rudeness towards the patient. Always listen to them and their concerns. Don’t jump in their mid-sentence to tell your prescriptions. Doing this will make the patient uncomfortable and a sense of rudeness towards you. Give them at least a minute or two to talk about their concerns. Don’t dismiss their concerns as well. They need to be heard so let them speak. If you dismiss them, they may be hesitant to talk freely in the future which can be troublesome for you as you can miss out on a piece of important information.
